I was supposed to go back @ 5.35 pm from Kota Kinabalu to KLIA today, however, I finish things early in KK so I thot why not try the earlier flight home. This 1.40 flight has stopover in Brunei, it was supposed to be for 45 minutes..but..it was delayed..I am good at this, I mean this delay thing. I heard rumours from the stewardess that the Sultan of Brunei is late...maybe he had urgent things or sthg, but he was supposed to take this flight after his Solat Jumaat, but Sultan, I miss my hot gucci papa and hot gucci kenits at home so munchie. I was supposed to be in Copenhagen on the 7th of May 9.00 am.. I had this thot of changing it other desitinations (Zurich or Stockholm because they have flight to Zurich later that night and Stockholm is early morning on Sunday), but the MAS delay team assured me that they have arranged my flight to Copenhagen from Frankfurt at 9.40 pm Sunday, our delayed flight to Frankfurt ETA was 7.40..supposedly. They transferred us to Pan Pac and we got Exec Suite..but that was nothing compared to the hassles we had gone thru during the last 2 days.I took my family along this time. So, yeah..with the 2 kids..and the worse ever experience. Eventhough I had a good seat but I had "pathetic experience" with MAS steward that I would not want to reveal..I just cannot find a horrible word to describe..We arrived in Frankfurt @ 7.53 pm and we were told that MAS ground staff will assist us for our transfer journey. There's about 6 families including us waiting for the children's stroller when we got out of the aircraft, and it took about 20 mins of waiting, so we were left behind the crowd, remember they have 400 passengers. And then we have to find our own way to the baggage claim, and then we have to go to the check in counter..from the arrival gate, waiting for the stroller, to the baggage claim and to the immigration, we have to walk quite a distant and it definetly was more than 45 minutes..Now, that was like 8.50 when we board the train to Terminal B, remember guys, we have to rely on what the Germans tell us where to go as MAS ground staff were nowhere to be seen. As soon as we get to the ticket counter to get my husband's ticket, (we didn't buy hubby n children ticket, but booked and supposed to pay at the airport, there's a benefit to this and I can share wif you later) there were some misunderstanding (language and attitude problem actually), and Lufthansa cannot issue the ticket eventhough all names (me,hubby n kids) were in the system..and you know what, we missed the flight! When airport ground staff arrived, the gates were already closed!! I tried to get other carrier, but believe it or not, the last flight going to Copenhagen was 9.40 pm that night, the flight that we missed. And how on earth do you consider your airport as main airport???*&^%..After all these, baru le org airport therhegeh-hegeh nak dtg, and baru le org MAS call,,they dare tell us that they tried to call us tp x dapat,penipu betul, my HP can trace if you tried to call me.. Anyway, there were 2 malaysian family (yg sama kes tunggu stroller tu) kat ticket counter and have the same problem..Diorang lg le kesian, dgn beg tak dapat, dgn baby nye..dgn ticket tak valid nye..and MAS office only opens at 8 am the next morning and the ground staff was not able to help us...The next day, we tried on standby for first flight to copenhagen at 9.40 am, and waited from 8.30 but luck wasnt at our side..so we depart from Frankfurt at 12.45 pm..and arrived in copenhagen at 2.15 pm, I thot I could make it for today at the DEA, tapi bag x sampai2 ok, sampai kol 3.00pm bila belt tu dah berhenti still not a sign of our bag..and yes people, our bag from Frankfurt tak sampai-sampai.I I dah tanya dekat minah Lufthansa masa check in bag tu, if I couldnt get the stand by, how about my bag, dia kata kalau I dapat 9.40 am tu, baru bag akan masuk, otherwise, it will be on the next flight 12.45 pm, and then masa kat gate tengah standby tanya lagi pon jawapan yg sama. Mula2 ingatkan itu sebabnya bag x sampai, the bag goes earlier than the passenger, but alas..bag entah ke mana..Sangatlah marah mula2 tu, dah la org Lufthansa in Frankfurt letak luggage tag salah, penat org SAS tu check,. Tapi kan kat denmark ni..danish, they are nice people..from the airport, to the hotel, to the DEA..It was calm, and helpful and nice people..as compared to the German. And from the SAS (scandinavian airlines) tracking system, rerupanya bag kitorg x naik pon, tapi tertinggal..so, kol 7.30 tadi bag sampai ke hotel.. And yeah..Najmi n Najwa dah happy dah..the last 2 days diorang pon cranky cam mak bapak dia..Punya la happy Najmi kanak-kanak di raikan di Scandic Copenhagen ni, I browse to hotels in Copenhagen and carik yang ada playrooms with library..senang ayah nye nak jaga while I was away, so itu le sebabnya duduk Scandic kat Vester Sogade ni. Melompat-lompat bebudak ni dapat balloons, ball and etc..masa check in. And our room were lovely, tak le so modern and sophisticated but..so homely and..wireless free pulak tu..yeah, all scandinavian country, internet free kat hotel..other EU countries ada wireless tapi kena bayo.. Najmi ponteng skolah on Wednesday with consent from the parents..mula2 ayah tak bagi, tapi selepas reasoning dibenarkan, sian Najmi..rilekle Ayah, anakmu baru preschool <4 yrs. Talking about ponteng, a friend of mine took their children to Avillion jugak, and the children (Form 1 and 2) didn't attend school on the 27th (long holiday maa..dari hari keputraan agong sampai ke wesak), I was sitting next to him when he got the SMS from his daughter's skool telling him that his daughters were absent..Canggih jugak ye sekolah zaman sekarang, siap sms parents bila anak x dtg skolah...kagum kagum..hehehe Najmi and Najwa enjoyed going to the beach, pet's farm, kid's cabin and the playground. Najwa was very happy to 'visit' and 'talk' to the rabbits, pegions, peacock etc. Every morning she keeps saying 'rebit, rebit'..where as Najmi, as you know, tak suke smelly places..so he would rather go to the playground and main playstation in the kids cabin.. Ayah came on Thursday and stayed with us during the public holidays and took the children home on Friday morning as Ayah had to work and Najmi needs to go to skool.. Sempat jugak borak ngan Ina at 2.30 am masa bangun nak solat Subuh, and the next morning after breakfast I went for mtg and she went for her class, sekejapnye jumpe Ina.. 17th April 2007 After mtg wif MSI and Schlumberger bergegas ke airport..Our fligh to paris kol 5.05 pm.. Sampai Paris dah kol 8.05 pm, after settle down kat hotel went to Chinese restaurant.. 18th April 2007 early morning kol 7.30 took train from Gare du Lyon to Lyon for mtg wif IFP Lyon..Arrived in Lyon a 10.00 am..Sampai kat Lyon terjumpe Malaysian students, sungguh ramah mesra..anyway, she's studying in Grenoble and she came here in 2002..but she knows Yan..dia kata kenal kak yan thru cerita kawan2, GLAMER SUNGGUH KAWANKU ITU...SATU FRANCE KENAL YE..Hehehehe.. Anyway, mtg @ IFP lyon was ok, cume masa makan agak stress sbb this French kan, dgn 4 course mealnye..sungguh ber'dressing'..diorang tak bagi kitorang dok sebelah geng malaysian, so alternate..pastu macam kat library, senyap je..and then bila sorang bercakap, all this french tengok dan muke berkerut-kerut nak jawap...pastu senyap, bila sotang cakap, smua org tengok..I cakap selow dgn org sebelah pon sume org tengok..waaaa..tak suke bisnes lunch with French.. Pir from Framo pick us up at the eport. From airport went to Framo Eng office in Sandsli. After lunch went to Framo's testing facilities in Fusa. Then they sent us to our hotel in Bergen. Bergen's best /u] Scenic view..from Sandsli to Fusa, the views along the Fjord..was even better than in Oslo. It is the best view I've ever seen. No wonder the Bergen Railway was recently voted as one of the world'd most beautiful train journeys. It is also included on UNESCO's World Heritage List..With the blue ice of the Hardangerjokul glacier glittering, the Fjord and the wooden houses dated back to 17th century..I'm wordless. It is definitely on my list if I have the money to come back wif my hubby and kenit boy and kenit girl.. [u]NORWAY IN A NUTSHELL 1. It is very clean 2. Norweigen has been voted as the country with highest human development index..Yes, academically (education wise), socially, civically, and politically. How true it is? Very true. I can see it during my stay.. - they worked flexi hours from 9.00 - 3.00, most of them did not go out of the office area for lunch. They also have some labor lar for max hours of working, as a result, they have more time quality time at home..unlike Malaysian, our working culture is "work long hours". - the gov policy doesnt allow selling of liquors after 8.00 pm, and in fact, dekat 7 eleven diorang tak boleh jual beer (because teenagers below 18 cannot sell liquors, and since 7 Eleven mostly employed part timers under 18, they decided not to sell to avoid complications, so semua 7 eleven dia takde jual beer, unlike Malaysia...)So, kurang le masalah sosial... 3. In Oslo we went to IFE on Wednesday and Scandpower and Aker Kvaener on Thursday. Pastu take a cab to SINTEF. SINTEF actually is one of my dream come true..takde la hebat sangat pon, tapi sbb that is where the OLGA (transient multiphase simulator) correlations was developed based on. nowadays i'm using dynamics simulator for FA eng design..yeah, go dynamic!!! OLGA was a JIP between a few oil & gas contractor and much of the experimental work were done in SINTEF and IFE. Trondheim sangatlah sejuk, today it's still snowing, tapi because now is suppose to be spring siangnya agak lama, maghrib kol 9 pm. Trondheim is very clean, as compared to other European countries (except for Swiss yang juga sgt bersih), tomorrow going to Oslo and Friday Bergen, so lepas tu baru leh buat conclusion that Norway is clean... Makan wise...hmmm..they served SMALL PORTION..ape kejadah pinggan beso tapi ikannya 1/5 pinggan je. I'm damn hungry and you charged me 455 NOK (60 euro) for a thumbsize catfishh!!!
